Geoffrey Donald Hunter

On November 9th, 2009 not unexpectedly, Geoffrey passed on at home with his Family after a lengthy and courageous fight with colorectal cancer.
Beloved Husband and best friend of Maureen, proud and encouraging Dad to Meagann and Kelly.
Admired middle Brother to Bryce and Andrew....interested and supportive Son-in-Law, Brother-in- Law,Uncle and Grand Uncle to Cathy, Connie, Rose, John, Kathy Joe, Graham, Brooke, Scott, Todd, Carrie, Lukas and Ailish. Geoff also thoroughly enjoyed all his Hunter and McClelland cousins.
Son of the late Liz and Pep Hunter, Geoff was well schooled.... at UCC, Ridley, North Toronto and UWO developing many wonderful life long friends therefrom.
An active clubber, Geoff had a wide circle of great friends at the B&R, Devil's Glen, Toronto GC and Mad River GC.
In a productive professional career of almost 40 years Geoff was a Partner and key contributor to the Hunter Family insurance brokerages.
Most of all Geoff enjoyed being ''up north'' with his Family.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 12 at Morley Bedford 6 to 8 pm. A private family service will take place. Online condolences can be done at www.morleybedford.ca/ condolences/php. In lieu of flowers a donation to Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Not only is Geoffrey a fourth generation insurance broker, he has spent the last thirty years guiding Clients through significant swings in the insurance market.

Before joining HUNTERS, Geoff was a Partner at a large insurance brokerage with Clients across a broad industry base ranging from higher risk plastics to private clubs and metal stamping.  Most of Geoffrey's Clients had some form of global risk component he addressed.

Today Geoff uses his knowledge and experience to enable HUNTERS Clients to make informed and reasonable decisions about their hazard risk management.
